Chromomagnetic Catalysis of Color Superconductivity in a (2+1)-dimensional NJL Model
The influence of a constant uniform external chromomagnetic field H on the formation of color superconductivity has been investigated. The consideration was performed in the framework of a (2+1)-dimensional Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model with two different four-fermionic structures responsible for < q̄q > and diquark < qq > condensates. In particular, it was shown that there exists a critical value Hc...
متن کاملSpin-one color superconductivity in compact stars?- an analysis within NJL-type models
We present results of a microscopic calculation using NJL-type model of possible spin-one pairings in two flavor quark matter for applications in compact star phenomenology. We focus on the color-spin locking phase (CSL) in which all quarks pair in a symmetric way, in which color and spin rotations are locked. The CSL condensate is particularly interesting for compact star applications since it...
متن کاملStripes and superconductivity in one-dimensional self-consistent model
We show that many observable properties of high temperature superconductors can be obtained in the frameworks of one-dimensional self-consistent model with included superconducting correlations. Analytical solutions for spin, charge and superconductivity order parameters are found. The ground state of the model at low hole doping is a spin-charge solitonic superstructure. Increasing of doping l...
متن کاملPhase diagrams of the three-flavor NJL model with color superconductivity and pseudoscalar condensation
We present results of the calculation of phase diagrams of the three-flavor NJL model as a function of temperature and different quark chemical potentials. These phase diagrams are an extension of earlier calculations in the literature in which either only the possibility of color superconductivity or the possibility of pseudoscalar condensation was investigated. This study takes into account b...
متن کاملSelf-consistent evaluation of quark masses in three flavor crystalline color superconductivity
We present a self-consistent evaluation of the constituent quark masses in the three flavor Larkin-Ovchinnikov-Fulde-Ferrell (LOFF) phases of QCD, employing a Nambu-Jona Lasinio model. This result allows to determine the window for values of the baryonic chemical potential where the LOFF state is energetically favored.
